Next up in late March....Easter. Each year, the Windemere community puts together an Easter Egg hunt open to all residents. We have a lot of families living here, but something tells me that more than Windemere residents were in attendance. The Easter Egg hunt is a mess. Brayden participated in the 1-3 year old age group. As the organizers scattered plastic eggs across the roped off lawn area, I figured parents would let their kids roam free to grab eggs. I was wrong. I made the mistake of letting Brayden into the lawn area alone once the whistle blew, and he was almost trampled by a hoard of adults grabbing eggs themselves. Seriously, 95% of kids in this age group can handle picking up eggs on their own. Brayden ended up getting 3 eggs, 2 of which were given to him by a nice lady who was carrying a baby too small to walk. These pictures were taken in the 10yr old and up group. Still, I can't believe that some parents were in on the egg gathering.
April brings yet another milestone for Emma. She's now sitting up on her own and has transitioned into the excer-saucer.
